I’d given up and thought that I’d have to live with the pain. After I got out of the Navy in 1992, I used the G.I. Bill to go to college. I was attending the University of Wisconsin-EauClaire. At the time, I was studying to be a geologist. To burn off some nervous energy the night before a particularly difficult final exam, I went for a run with my roommate.
As we were running at the school track we came upon a sand-pit where the school track team practices their running long jumps. Being competitive young men we decided to challenge each other to see who could jump the farthest. I landed awkwardly while jumping and immediately had incredible low back pain. I didn’t realize it at the time but I had herniated one of the discs in my low back.
The pain was so bad that I could barely even get up! I did eventually manage to get back to my dorm room but was unable to sleep that night due to the pain. I ended up taking all of my final exams that week hunched over the desk in agony! Being young, I was still under the illusion that I was invincible. However, after over-the-counter medicine no longer helped with the pain, I decided to swallow my pride and get help. Unfortunately, I didn’t know where to turn. That’s when my uncle convinced me to give chiropractic a try. The chiropractor did an exam and then “adjusted” my spine. The adjustment didn’t hurt, it actually felt great. I got relief and I could walk upright again. It worked so well that instead of becoming a geologist after I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in 1997, I went to chiropractic school instead.
I attended Northwestern Health Sciences University from 1998 through 2001. While at chiropractic school I learned that the body has a health potential. That potential is controlled by the nervous system in all of our bodies. I learned that by adjusting the spine we can improve the way the nervous system works and therefore improve the patient’s overall health. This approach to health fascinated me.
After graduating in 2001, I moved back to Texas in 2003 and opened Advanced Chiropractic in Temple. When we first opened we decided that our purpose would be to help as many people as possible regain and maintain their health using the highest quality chiropractic care in a clean, friendly, professional environment. Since opening, we’ve had the opportunity to help over 12,000 Patients. We’ve treated little babies to elderly folks in assisted living facilities. I often tell patients, “I was born for this”. What I mean when I tell them this is that my mission is to “Correct and Maintain Health Through Chiropractic” and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Personally
I married Stephanie Wolfe in 2005. Stephanie’s roommate was a patient of mine and thought we’d make a nice couple. Even though her roommate was a shy person she invited Stephanie to attend a dinner health talk that I was giving so she could get a sneak peek at me and see if I was the type of person she’d like to be with. Apparently, I passed the test and we were married within a year! We have two wonderful children: Cooper, born in 2010, and Taylor, born in 2012. We also share our home with 4 dogs and a cat! We love spending time together as a family and walking our dogs.
We’ve seen the miraculous benefits of chiropractic care. Therefore, we all receive regular chiropractic care to not only stay out of pain but to be as healthy as we can.
Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and effective chiropractic care? I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenge. Give our office a call to find out if we can help.

A Chiropractic Adjustment miraculously brought my grandfather out of a coma! In 2012 my grandfather had a stroke and his body went into a coma. Everything inside his body was shutting down; they had a feeding tube in his nose, compression boots on his feet, IV’s in his arms, and he wore a vest hourly to vibrate him so he wouldn’t develop Pneumonia.
For the next 3 days, he lay in the hospital bed until his treating doctor called a meeting for the entire family.
During the meeting, the doctor informed us that they were going to put my grandfather on hospice, as there was no hope of him regaining function, and my grandmother was devastated! That was the moment I knew that I had to try something. I adjusted my grandfather’s neck and an hour and a half later he woke up from the coma and made a full, miraculous recovery! He lived 8 more wonderful, unrestricted years doing what he loved doing - ranching, farming, hunting, and seeing his family expand to include four great-grandchildren. I witnessed chiropractic treatment literally save a life!
Before I graduated from Howard Payne University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, I spoke with my guidance counselor about the possibility of attending medical school, or perhaps becoming a Pharmacist. She mentioned Chiropractic, and it brought back all the memories of how I had been helped, as I had seen Chiropractors throughout the years for various injuries. I looked into Parker University, was accepted, and began a life-changing journey.
My Goal for You
Helping people find and maintain health without the use of drugs or surgery is unbeatable; I couldn’t have found a better niche for myself than as a Chiropractor! I believe wholeheartedly that God created our bodies to heal themselves if treated properly through spinal adjustments, proper nutrition and exercise, maximizing the nervous system, and a positive attitude. My goal is for every patient to walk into the office and believe they are part of the Advanced Chiropractic family and that I will personally do everything to “help as many people as possible regain and maintain their health using the highest of quality chiropractic care in a clean, friendly, professional environment.”
Personally
I married my incredible wife, Danielle, in 2009 after meeting and dating for two years at Howard Payne University. I was mid-way through my first year at Parker at that time, and knee-deep in studies. She began experiencing some extreme stomach pain shortly after we were married, and it culminated in an ER visit in the middle of the night - only to be turned away with a large bill and no answers. After purposefully delving into my many medical books, I began experimenting. After daily chiropractic adjustments, a gallbladder cleanse, a hiatal hernia move, and more vitamins than I can count, my wife had relief. It was an amazing experience to watch someone so close to me benefit from the knowledge I was acquiring. I finished school in 2011 with a renewed sense of purpose and confirmation. Since then we have had 2 beautiful daughters, Kaylie & Adalyn, and they are such a blessing to us! Now that I have children, Danielle and I have purposed ourselves to be as healthy as possible for ourselves and them. Danielle is a Certified Personal Trainer, Licensed Nutrition Coach and comes alongside many of our patients to address the gaps in those areas of their lives. We know that health is our greatest asset - and the best gift I can give my children is to be healthy for them, and teach them how to be as healthy as possible as well. We are consistent with our weekly Chiropractic care, and we are reaping the benefits of healthy, purpose-filled lives!

The decision for me to become a Chiropractor was one that manifested itself from a mix of dedication, philosophy, and emotional struggle. I decided at a very early age that I wanted to help people. I wanted to help heal the body.
It wasn’t until near the end of my undergraduate studies that I suffered an emotional toll and questioned everything I had planned for myself. My goal was to become a medical doctor but that goal took a blow during my junior year when I attended an open house at U.T. Southwestern. I was excited. This is where I wanted to be and as I stepped into the medical center, I knew there was light at the end of my educational path. As we toured the facilities things changed at such an overwhelming rate that my inner hope toppled to fear. What I saw that day was every hospital bed full and countless people sick. I thought there had to be something that was missing. Medicine has come such a long way but yet we have so many people that are sick not knowing if they’ll ever get better.
I retreated back to school and immediately rushed to my counselor in panic. I wanted out. Based on my experience with the medical model of care, I concluded that I would have to help the world in another way. Jason, my counselor, told me of his daughter who had what seemed to be an incurable ear infection. Ridiculous I thought at first. I had read enough medical books to know that this should be an easy fix. He told me her story of treatments that had failed until she was taken to a Chiropractor. The alignment corrected how her body was wired together. The pathways it had used to heal were reopened and she found herself ear-pain-free shortly after. Her scheduled surgery was gone too. Knowing what chiropractic had done for his daughter, Jason urged me to consider this path, to look into it and see for myself. So I did my homework.
A second awakening came for me. I did my research and saw Chiropractors practice their art. I had been too buried in science to realize there was a path to allowing the body to heal itself. I’ll never be able to explain the joy that came over me at this realization. I could help the body heal itself naturally, free of the invasiveness and loss that I grew to fear.
Personally
My husband and I met a few times in passing through mutual friends while we were both attending Tarleton State University however, we never had the opportunity to get to know one another. God crossed our paths again shortly after graduation when our best friends were getting married. We fell head over heels for each other instantly and knew we were meant to be together forever. Two weeks after graduating from chiropractic school we got married in Cancun with our closest family and friends. As of this writing, we are happily awaiting the arrival of our first child, Baby Bo, who is due this September.
